Meredith grew up surrounded by artists in her family. Her grandfather, grandmother, aunt and mother were talented in painting, pen and ink, sculpture and design. Meredith embraced her love of art while attending Baylor University. There she immersed herself in the fine art school and chose to study Art History. She enrolled in every studio art class she could squeeze into her schedule to better understand the processes of artists she studied, thus gaining valuable skills in various media. Meredith was fortunate to be a part of the Allbritton Art Institute, traveling extensively to view and study works of art in person. Meredith continues to educate herself with studio classes and by taking every opportunity to study contemporary artists.
Meredith enjoys charcoal and photography, but is currently focusing on abstract mixed media painting. Meredith’s painting style evolves a little with each piece. Her moment of inspiration always begins with a color combination that resonates then evolves through a liberal and organic process allowing the paint to lead her through the process. The organic nature of paint interacting and co-mingling on its own makes each piece unique and the details as beautiful as the whole.
Meredith and her husband are parents of 3 young children, all of whom support and inspire her every day. After several years of dedicating every moment to their care and painting on a commission only basis, Meredith is enjoying the successful resurgence of her art career focused toward broader audiences.
“The marbled paper effects of Grabham’s work are a result of her teasing the mediums and allowing the thick and luscious paint to frolic in its natural state. Rolling waves of color lick and bubble at the surface of the canvas and the surprising results delight the senses. The carefully selected color palette of each painting leads the artist through unchartered territory, giving way to captivating color displays.”- Advisory Board
