Global in its outlook, local at its heart, The Art Menu is an online art gallery and boutique art brokerage firm that is growing with the changing art market, rather than resisting it. The Art Menu is run by entrepreneurs who live for art and are on the cutting edge of the art revolution that is happening online.

With a fresh focus on the most exciting and innovative artistic talents in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, The Art Menu has established itself quickly as a trusted source for designers, businesses and individual aficionados of the arts, providing access to exclusive works and the privilege of knowing where they came from and who created them.

Our gallery facilitates the sale of original works, giclee prints and custom commissioned works/large-scale projects for both private and commercial clientele. We do the job of discovering the artists and marketing their work by creatively casting a wide net on their behalf in an effort to showcase what the Dallas art scene has to offer, and from there the possibilities are limitless. We exist to take the guesswork out of searching the art world to bring the finest selection of artistic talent to the virtual podium.  Point, click and curate your collection.

The Art Menu represents an elite group of DFW area artists, all chosen by a team of industry experts.  The gallery is committed to long term relationships with some of the most promising local artists working today who are unique in their approach and ideas, growing their careers and helping to promote their fascinating and important projects. Thus, we limit our roster to roughly 20 quality local painters, each with a limited number of exclusive images in our gallery. We exist to shine the spotlight on the Artist and their own unique voice. The rest organically unfolds depending on the individual needs of our client—no project is too small or too vast.

We are the first established Dallas gallery who has been intensively involved in using the internet as a catalyst in the development and communication of contemporary art. It is our goal to deliver to our clients the artist’s message and work at attainable prices, connecting and empowering collectors and artists alike. We are in direct contact with all of the selected artists and we only sell original artworks and limited-edition giclee prints with certificates of authenticity. When you collect with us, not only are you collecting the most important DFW artists working today, you’re making an investment to sustain creative culture and support independent artists.

Enjoy Collecting,
David Hobbs, Founder of The Art Menu

Our Process

With the advent of digital photography, fine art inkjet giclée printing and reproduction is a growing market. Giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) loosely means spraying or squirting of ink in French. Giclée prints are bought and sold at auctions worldwide. The concept is not new, but with the continued development of better digital cameras, in conjunction with artists’ desire to market their work, the giclée printing practice is expanding rapidly.

The Art Menu’s fine art giclée printing process starts with a professional art scan of the artist’s original piece of work. These digital copy shots allow us to make identical duplicates that are true to their originals. The concept of “original-to-digital” provides for individual color profiling with sharper details, higher resolution, and no film grain.

The next step involves the actual printing of the customer’s fine art print. Our giclées are printed using only the finest materials - archival pigmented inks, archival fine art canvas, and inkjet printers with professional grade nozzles. The Art Menu’s team of printmaking experts produces stunning results with some of the longest archival ratings in the industry. Our prints are made to last for decades to come.

Options

Once printed, we offer three canvas finishing options:  rolled canvas, stretched gallery wrapped canvas, and stretched & framed canvas. All of our canvas giclées come with a 2” mirrored edge border, as well as a semi-gloss UV protective coating. We also use a 2” stretcher bar for all of our gallery wrapped orders. The Art Menu framing options include a floater frame in black, silver, or walnut. And all orders come complete with standard hanging hardware.

All of our orders are shipped via insured, ground service. Each order is custom packaged with the utmost care for delivery to your home or business.

Advisory Board

The Art Menu has established an Advisory Board, a team of art industry experts who carefully review each artist and their unique talent. The process is quite selective, critically rigorous, and includes a thorough review of each artist and their talent. Our Board’s final editorial review of our approved artists is made public on each artist’s biography page.

The Board consists of members in the local Dallas community with ties to the curated arts, restaurant, teaching, and interior design industries.

The final authority to approve or deny artist submissions lies with The Art Menu. The Art Menu’s gallery will always be limited in scope, meaning the number of artists represented and the amount of art we offer will never be exploited for sheer volume sake. We believe this benefits The Art Menu, the consumer, and most of all our artists.
